Making Snow

Published January 20, 2013 by inanortherntown

The highway re-opened after 24+ hours and all is right with the world.

HOWEVER, on my twitter feed this morning, I read that some gas stations ran out of gas!!?! Can this be true? I’ll have to investigate further because that’s a little freaky. I can handle running out of eggs & milk – but gas? Not so much.

It was another cold morning today but it was glorious! The sun came out to play, the sky was brilliant blue and the snow was sparkling like diamonds. Seeing the sun almost everyday is pretty spectacular.

We’d read about an experiment where you throw boiling water into the air and it freezes before it hits the ground and decided there was no time like the present! I made a rookie mistake half-way through the filming but please take the opportunity to gently stretch your neck to the left – just be sure to do the equal stretch on the right side. This concludes my public service reminder.

  • I was wondering if you did a second take, or if it was one and done? Thanks for the video, the kids thought it was cool, but Cole is still the only one wanting to venture North with Dad.
    Cheers, Mark.
