The area of the world has been given the title “largest project ever undertaken in mankind’s history”.
Until this week, I’ve never really given it much thought about what equipment would be needed in order to undertake mankind’s largest project.
Take a look at what is currently being driven up the highway at 25km/hr and affectionately nicknamed “Modzilla“.
The module is 11.5 metres high, 8.9 metres wide and 85 metres long, nearly twice the length of an Olympic swimming pool. The payload weighs 780 metric tonnes, which is the equivalent of 290 pickup trucks.
This picture doesn’t really do justice to the mammoth beast – click here to view Modzilla in all its glory.
I’ve heard of “wide loads” and even had to pull over to the side of the road at one time or another – but this takes the meaning to a whole new level!!
